Horologists’ opinion of Hamilton Watches?

Watch afficionadios, what is your opinion of Hamilton? They seem to provide higher-end quality watches for a much lower price than the Swiss manufacturers.

In particular, do you have thoughts about the Jazzmaster square series? I’m considering
- The Chrono Auto (H32646597) (Probably in Cold/Rust)
- The Square Automatic (H32415535) (Black face / brown band)
- The Square Auto Chrono (H32666535) (Black face / brown band)
- The Petite Seconde (H32555755) (probably white face / gold numbers)

My fiancee loves the Square Lady (H32251135) (Black face / steel band).

Any thoughts? Are they a good value? Will they keep their value? Is the Swiss movement comparable with others?

Hamilton is a (some would say the) classic American watch. For the price it’s hard to do better. You won’t go wrong with a Hamilton, but don’t take my word for it.
